Who's behind this
The list I wanted when I was the one looking.
I'm Fernando, a working musician. I started GrantGigs because keeping track of grants, residencies and open calls alongside actually making music was a mess.
There's far more funding out there for musicians than most people think. It's just scattered across dozens of sites, in several languages, and surprisingly easy to miss. So I put it in one place, sorted by deadline.

What is GrantGigs?
One list of grants, funds, fellowships, residencies, contests and awards for music creators, sorted by deadline. Instead of digging through dozens of arts-council websites and newsletters, you search and filter one place by region, type, deadline and amount.
We currently cover the USA, Canada, the UK, Spain, the Nordics, wider Europe and international programmes.
How does GrantGigs stay up to date?
New opportunities are found by researching funders' own sites and are checked against the funder's page before they're published. Open listings are re-checked on a rolling basis for changed deadlines, amounts and cancellations, and each listing page shows when it was last checked.
Where we can't confirm a deadline, we say so (“Date not confirmed yet”) rather than guess. Always read the funder's own page before you apply.

Independent artists, bands, songwriters, producers, managers and labels. Whether you're recording your first EP, planning a tour, making a video or running workshops, the filters narrow the list to what fits where you are.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
Every listing is free to read, with or without an account.
A free account adds the application link for opportunities closing in the next 30 days, up to 10 open saves, and a reminder email a week before each saved deadline.
Pro ($22.90 a year) adds the application link for every upcoming date, so you can plan ahead; researched briefings on who reviews applications (Gatekeepers) and what has won before (Past editions); unlimited saves; calendar sync (Google, Apple or Outlook); and earlier reminders: a month out, a week out and on the day.

What are Gatekeepers and Past editions?
For opportunities approaching their deadline, we research a briefing on the listing's page: who reviews your application (jury members, curators, programme managers, their backgrounds and what they've said publicly about selection) and what has won before (past winners, project themes and patterns across editions).
Everything comes from public sources and is linked so you can check it. Where we add our own interpretation, it's marked as ours. Briefings are prepared roughly 5 to 10 weeks before each deadline, while there's still time to shape your application, and come with Pro. When there's nothing public to go on, we say so.
Can I save opportunities?
Yes, saving is free. Tap Save on any listing to keep it on your Saved list. Free accounts can keep up to 10 open opportunities at a time; once a deadline passes, that save stops counting toward the 10.
Every saved opportunity with a confirmed deadline gets a reminder email a week before it closes. If it has no confirmed date yet, we email you when one is published. Pro makes saves unlimited and adds reminders a month out and on the day.
How do I upgrade to Pro?
Sign in, go to your account page and choose Go Pro. Payment is handled by Stripe, and Pro is active as soon as it goes through.
Do I need an account?
Not to browse: every listing is public. You need a free account to see application links, save opportunities and get reminders. Sign-in is by email link, no password. Sign in here.
