About this opportunity

OMF+ pays for the marketing push around a release or a project rather than for making the record. It is aimed at establishing an artist, band or ensemble in the market and widening the audience, so a campaign can be built around an album, EP or single, or around a tour or an international collaboration. Campaigns can run up to twelve months and can cover activity in Austria and abroad.

You can apply as an individual whose main residence is in Austria, or as a company based in Austria that carries chief responsibility for the release - labels, publishers, managements, and musicians who market themselves. The fund describes this as an excellence grant and expects applicants to already know how to plan and run a campaign; the expertise can be bought in rather than held in-house.

The grant covers up to 50% of the project volume, to a maximum of EUR 10,000. The remaining half can be met with your own money or your own unpaid work, which has to be evidenced at the final accounting stage on the fund's own form.

There are two calls a year, submitted through an online form. Call 26-2 closes at 23:59 on 21 October 2026, with decisions announced on 23 November. A complete submission needs the application form and costing, a photo of the artist, and proof of residence or company registration; a marketing concept, press pack and presentation material are optional. An automated first screen scores export effect, economic value and professional structure, networking, diversity and funding history - six points are needed to reach the jury, which is drawn from radio, festivals, labels and promotion. Forms and guidelines are in German.
