Camões / OEI – Laç(z)os Artísticos (2nd Edition)

This is a travel fellowship rather than a production grant: the money pays for the journey that lets you develop an artistic project in another country across the Portuguese-speaking and Ibero-American world. Music counts — the first edition funded work in dance, street arts, circus, photography, music and cross-disciplinary practice — but you apply under the broader performing-arts heading, not a music-specific stream.

Twenty fellowships are on offer in the 2026 edition, open to nationals or residents of CPLP member states and Ibero-American countries working in visual arts, performing arts, street arts or interdisciplinary work. Three are ring-fenced as CPLP fellowships for people aged 18 to 30 living in the Portuguese-speaking African countries or Timor-Leste who want to carry out their project in Portugal.

Each fellowship is worth a maximum of €2,250, intended to cover travel for the project plus health and travel insurance. Nothing in the announcement suggests it stretches to fees, production or accommodation, so budget on that basis.

Applications run from 1 August to 15 September 2026 through an online form, in Portuguese or Spanish — there is no English route, and the programme regulations are published only in those two languages. The announcement states the programme aims: exchanging knowledge, building working networks, and getting artists from these regions circulating internationally. It does not publish assessment criteria or scoring, so those sit in the regulations rather than the public call.
