LSO Soundhub 2026/27 — Members & Associates

LSO Soundhub is the London Symphony Orchestra's scheme for composers and music creators who want to write for orchestral players, and it runs at two levels. Four Members get a bursary (the amount is not published), workshop time with LSO musicians, one-to-one mentoring, professional development sessions, technical and production help, and a guaranteed slot at the 2027 Soundhub Showcase, where four newly commissioned pieces get their premiere. Twenty Associates get a lighter package: free or discounted rehearsal space at LSO St Luke's, technical support when they need it, and occasional project opportunities. Both groups get access to LSO concerts and rehearsals at reduced cost and a chance to build relationships within the wider Soundhub community of composers. To apply you need to be 18 or over, have the right to live in the UK or be studying here, be based in London and able to get to activities regularly, have an interest in writing for classical orchestral musicians, and not already be on another LSO composer scheme. The scheme particularly encourages applications from composers who are ethnically diverse, women, non-binary, disabled, or working outside the classical tradition.
