PPL Momentum Accelerator — Liverpool

The PPL Momentum Accelerator is a regional programme run by PRS Foundation with PPL for artists, bands and future industry professionals working outside London — this round is for people based in the Liverpool City Region (parallel rounds run for Wales and Tees Valley). It offers up to £5,000 per project to songwriters, artists, bands and performers writing and releasing their own original music, plus support for industry professionals such as managers, promoters and people working at record labels in the region. The idea is less about a one-off cash injection and more about building a sustainable regional career: alongside the money, successful applicants get access to industry-facing platforms — live venues, radio, streaming — and guidance on generating a stable income, so fewer artists feel they need to relocate to London to progress. Past recipients from the wider Momentum programme include English Teacher, Pixey and L E M F R E C K. The published call doesn't spell out exactly what the panel scores applications on beyond the programme's stated aim of overcoming financial and regional barriers, so read PRS Foundation's guidance document before applying. This round runs from 28 September to 26 October 2026.
