ACF Boost 2027 — matched funding for ACF fundraisers
Offered by Australian Cultural Fund / Creative Australia
Who can apply
Australian independent artists, small groups and arts organisations in any art form, music included, with an ACF artist profile and project. Excludes 2026 ACF Boost participants, 2026 AusArt Day matched-funding recipients, and those with overdue acquittals or debts to Creative Australia. Campaigns cannot offer donor rewards.
About this opportunity
ACF Boost doesn't fund your project directly - it supercharges the donations you raise for it. Run a crowdfunding campaign on the Australian Cultural Fund platform between 1 February and 30 April 2027, and Creative Australia matches whatever individuals, businesses, trusts or foundations give you, dollar for dollar, up to AUD 5,000. Raise less than that and the whole amount is matched; raise more and the match caps at $5,000, so the strategic move is setting a realistic target rather than an ambitious one. Government funding, sponsorship, in-kind support, bequests, loans and your own money do not count toward the match.
You need to be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, 18 or over, with an ACF Artist Profile, an ABN (or an auspice arrangement), and a project in any art form, music included. You are excluded if you took part in ACF Boost in 2026, received 2026 AusArt Day matched funding, or have an overdue acquittal or debt with Creative Australia. Applying means submitting a project on the ACF platform with the Boost box ticked, a budget, a fundraising strategy with a contingency plan, and short answers on what the matched funds would do for your project and how you will manage the campaign workload. Creative Australia staff assess applications on artistic quality and rationale, the likely impact of the funds, and whether you can realistically deliver the campaign, while also balancing the final list across states and art forms. Applications close 19 October 2026, 12pm AEDT.
