CNM — Aide à la production et à la diffusion de spectacle vivant (summer round)

French support for producing and touring live music. The money goes to the producteur générateur — the company that actually employs the artistic team on the project — so it is a grant for producers rather than something an artist applies for directly.

You need to be affiliated to the CNM (allow at least 20 working days for that step), hold a licence 2, have at least a year of activity behind you, be up to date on the variety-shows tax where it applies, and pay the live-music collective agreement minimums. The project needs at least eight performances confirmed in writing within a 24-month window — six for classical and contemporary work outside the tax's scope — mostly on French territory, with at most a third free of paid ticketing and at most half already played in the twelve months before you file. A minimum cash contribution from the company itself is required, excluding other public money, sponsorship and in-kind support.

Aid is capped at €75,000 per project and €300,000 per company per year, and total public funding including the CNM cannot exceed half the project's economy. It is paid 70 percent on award and the balance after the final report. Two 5 percent uplifts are available, one for environmental measures and one for gender-balance criteria.

Applications are filed through the CNM's professional portal ahead of a commission date — 26 August and 7 October in 2026 — allowing a minimum of eight weeks for assessment. The commission weighs economic coherence, the share of artistic and technical spend, own income, touring strategy and density, the risk the company is taking, contribution to emerging artists, and general professionalism.
