CNM — Aide aux projets de développement international (musiques actuelles)

This is the fund for the moment a French-based project starts working a foreign market seriously: a run of shows abroad, a promo trip, a prospecting visit to a market or conference, content made or adapted for a new territory, or a marketing push in it. Requests covering live performance abroad must involve at least three events.

Applicants are legal entities rather than individuals in the usual sense — labels, live producers, publishers, distributors, agents, managers, and artists registered as auto-entrepreneurs — and must be affiliated with the CNM, which takes at least twenty working days to arrange. The artist normally needs a release on two streaming platforms with 1,000 or more followers on each, plus 1,000 on a social network; writing sessions are exempt from that test, and musical or variety shows are held to 10,000 social followers instead.

The grant covers no more than half of eligible costs and falls between €400 and €25,000, paid in a single instalment only after you file a report and receipts, within eighteen months. At least half the project budget must come from the entity's own resources or partners. Eligible costs include economy travel, accommodation, per diems, artist and technical fees, backline and agent commission, foreign press agencies and content production.

The commission weighs economic coherence, the strategy behind the chosen territories, evidence from audience data, professionalism and legal compliance, plus gender equality and environmental measures.
