Five Points Jazz Grants (Denver) — 2027

This program funds jazz performances and jazz-related programming in Denver's historic Five Points neighborhood — concerts, workshops, community events, or creative development tied to the area's jazz legacy. Grants reach up to $10,000 and can cover artist and contractor fees, personnel, program management, materials, marketing, and supplies connected to creating or presenting the work.

You can apply as an individual or as a nonprofit, for-profit, educational, or community organization, as long as you do work regularly within the City and County of Denver. Groups based elsewhere can take part only by partnering with a Denver-based entity, and the activity itself must happen inside the Five Points Activation Area (between 20th Avenue, Broadway, Downing Street, 32nd Street and Arapahoe Street) and be open to the public, running sometime in 2027. The same project can't be funded twice in one calendar year.

Applications go through Submittable, built around a budget template and a program implementation plan; an information session walks through both before the window closes. If you're funded, you'll need to attend onboarding, name a program manager, give the city 30 to 60 days' notice before events, and file a wrap-up report within a month of finishing.

Reviewers weigh how clearly the program is described, how relevant and impactful it is for Five Points and its jazz history, and whether the plan is realistic and well thought through.
