About this opportunity

Deficit cover for a tour that promotes a release the Austrian Music Fund has already supported. That prerequisite is the gate: no previously funded production, no Toursupport. Timing matters as well. A domestic tour must start within twelve months of the release, a foreign one within thirty-six; the tour cannot already be finished when the award is confirmed, and no more than a third of the concerts may have taken place by then. Only shows falling inside a twelve-month window count.

You need at least three concerts, properly spread: three different Austrian federal states for a purely domestic tour, three different cities for a purely foreign one, or a mix of the two. Applicants are individuals whose main residence is in Austria, or Austria-based companies carrying primary responsibility for the tour.

This is deficit funding rather than a fee — you are reimbursed for the shortfall, up to EUR 2,000 per Austrian concert and EUR 3,000 per foreign one, capped at EUR 10,000 for a domestic tour and EUR 20,000 where dates abroad are included. Touring in an ecologically sustainable way can add a bonus of 10 per cent on the amount awarded.

Applying means requesting login details for the submission platform, completing the online form, then emailing the signed PDF, a filled-in Excel calculation sheet and proof of residence or a company or association register extract by 23:59 on the deadline. A four-member industry jury decides both who is funded and how much, and any member connected to a submission steps out of that decision. Call 51 closes 7 October 2026, with results on 26 October. Everything is in German.
