Open to composers of any age and nationality. Each work must be composed solely by the applicant: joint compositions are not eligible. Already performed, published or awarded works can enter, unless the work has already won a Grand Prize or Special Prize here.

An international competition for art music, run by Ise-Shima Art Company in Japan: classical, contemporary and experimental works, from solo and chamber pieces to choral, orchestral and concerto writing. Instrumentation and duration are open, and you can enter with a score or work-description PDF, a recording link, or both. Entry closes on 31 January 2027 at 23:59 GMT, with results planned for 28 February. The 2026 edition drew 348 applications from 277 applicants in 40 countries and regions. Entry fees are not refunded after payment, including for entries found invalid. Written jury feedback is an optional extra at JPY 5,000 per work and has to be requested at entry. Composers keep their copyright.
