Dansk Artist Forbund – Udviklingspuljen (artists & musicians)

This pool from the Danish Artists' Union funds the work that moves a project forward rather than the project itself: the mentoring, the press and social push, the extra production time that turns a promising show into a finished one. Three strands are named. Social media, marketing and booking covers press material, video production and booking work meant to give new or existing material more reach. Production covers an activity that develops or strengthens a new or ongoing show, project or concert. Mentorship covers trying out a new collaborator or working with a mentor.

It is open to artists, musicians and other professionals across music, performing arts, circus and entertainment, applying as an individual or as a band, group or company, at any career stage. You do not need to be a member: the money is collective rights income from Gramex and Copydan, so anyone can apply. Amounts are modest. Awards typically land between DKK 5,000 and DKK 12,000, and a mentorship request is capped at DKK 5,000. The pool funds activity, not equipment or hardware.

Applications go through the union's online portal, which is in Danish. You need about half an A4 page describing the development work (who, what, where, when, and why), plus a CV and a budget, both mandatory. One application per deadline, one per project. The committee weighs diversity and whether the plan is realistic. Answers come by email roughly a month after the deadline, without reasons.
