About this opportunity

Indigenous 360 funds Indigenous-led creative and cultural work in Manitoba in three sizes, so the scale of your ask can match the scale of your project: micro-grants up to $1,000, small-scale grants up to $5,000, and large-scale grants up to $15,000 CAD. Eligible activities include creating new work, works-in-progress, public performances and exhibitions, community projects, publications, and training, apprenticeships or mentorships — so a recording project, a community concert series, or a mentorship with an established Indigenous musician could all fit.

It's open to professional Indigenous artists, Indigenous arts and cultural professionals, and Knowledge Keepers, as well as Indigenous-led arts groups and organizations — defined as having at least 75% Indigenous staff. All disciplines are eligible, not just music.

You apply through Manipogo, the council's online system, and need to register at least 5 to 10 business days before the deadline to leave time for account setup; printable, fillable PDF forms are available for anyone who can't easily apply online or needs accommodation. Deadlines come around twice a year, April 25 and October 25.

The council doesn't spell out how its assessors score applications beyond pointing applicants to its general guidelines, so it's worth assuming clarity of the proposal, feasibility and connection to Indigenous community or culture all carry weight.
