Internationalt udviklingsprogram – Klimamæssigt bæredygtige samarbejder for musik- og scenekunstaktører (ITER)

ITER is about touring internationally without the carbon bill that usually comes with it, and it runs in two stages. What you apply for now is a place on a free online seminar series, not money. Two tracks are offered: Pathfinders, ten sessions for people new to environmentally and socially conscious touring, and Changemakers, six sessions for those already doing the work who want to lead on it. Sessions run October to December, two hours each, in English, with reading and tasks in between — budget an extra one to three hours a week. There are up to 32 Pathfinder places and 28 Changemaker places.

You need to work in music or performing arts as an artist, producer, director or as part of a company, festival or organisation; be touring or starting to tour this year; and be based in Denmark, Norway, Scotland or England. Denmark's large institutional theatres are excluded. Applicants in England, Norway and Scotland apply through their own arts council rather than here.

The money comes later. Once the seminars finish, participants may apply between 6 November 2026 and 11 January 2027 for collaboration projects of up to £30,000, drawn from a £180,000 pot supporting roughly six projects. The lead applicant must have attended a seminar and built a partnership spanning at least three of the four countries.

The Danish form is submitted through Tilskudsportalen with MitID, but the required attachment is in English: a set template with short answers on your work, what you would gain, and your vision for international collaboration. Answers within eight weeks. Assessors weigh artistic quality, touring experience, commitment to sustainability, and spread across art forms and geography.
