Grupos y artistas profesionales de Extremadura y de fuera de la región, de ámbito nacional e internacional. Quedan excluidas las asociaciones. Se aceptan todos los estilos y géneros musicales excepto los grupos homenaje o tributo, que quedan excluidos. Preferentemente no se seleccionarán grupos que hayan participado en la MUM en las dos ediciones anteriores. El grupo seleccionado debe acreditar a una persona en calidad de distribuidor o manager en la convocatoria de profesionales durante todos los días de la MUM, estar disponible del 14 al 16 de abril de 2027, presentar el mismo espectáculo y componentes que figuran en la solicitud (si no, se puede anular el acuerdo) y acreditar las altas en la Seguridad Social.
About this opportunity
MUM27 is a Spanish showcase festival built so that performing does not cost artists anything out of pocket: selected acts get €200 per musician plus a technician if needed, a double room covered for the night of the show, a meal allowance, and the festival's own technical setup, all in exchange for one 25-minute promotional set in Mérida in April 2027. Payment lands only after the festival ends, once you have shown proof of Social Security registration and signed a collaboration agreement, which is standard for Spanish public funding of this kind. It is open to professional groups and soloists from Extremadura and beyond, nationally and internationally, though associations, tribute acts and anyone who played the last two editions are excluded. Apply through the online form - one submission per act - by 20 November 2026 at 2pm; make sure you get a confirmation email back, since a missing one means your application was not registered, not that it is pending. Once you are selected, the lineup and show you submitted are locked in: you will need to perform with the same members and material across all three festival days. The selection panel weighs several things together - whether you are launching a new record, how distinctive and risk-taking the material is, whether the act has real national or international reach, and how polished your press materials and live staging are.
