About this opportunity

This Dutch fund pays for making and staging professional work — new concerts and performances, revivals of existing ones, and competitions. It is built for organisations whose main business is developing and producing that work themselves; if your core activity is education, welfare, hospitality or property, you fall outside the scheme.

Read the eligibility carefully before you invest time. The applicant has to be a non-profit legal entity — a stichting or vereniging. Sole traders, private companies and individuals applying in their own name are not considered at all, which rules out most solo artists and bands unless they apply through a foundation. Amateur productions, including amateur work under professional direction, and productions largely made by students are excluded.

The maximum is €78,750 per production, €52,500 for a competition, or €105,000 where at least half the total costs are covered by your own income. A further €26,250 is available when the production creates new compositions, libretti or theatre texts. At least 20% of production costs must come from your own income, and the first public performance must fall at least four months after the deadline.

Round 3 opened 22 July 2026 and closes at 23:59 CEST on 2 September 2026. You apply through Mijn Fonds — allow about two working days for a new account — using the required form and the budget model from productiebegroting.nl. This is a tender: every application is assessed together after the deadline on artistic quality, entrepreneurship, contribution to the diversity of Dutch performing arts, and geographic spread. Incomplete applications are rejected without a chance to fix them. In 2025, 35% of the 257 applications assessed were funded. Everything is in Dutch.
