About this opportunity
This is money for paying musicians. It goes to Danish rhythmic venues and music associations that put on concerts, covering part of the performance fees, so the applicant is the promoter rather than the artist — though the whole point is that bands get paid properly.
You qualify if your venue or association already receives a municipal (and possibly cultural-region) subsidy earmarked for musician fees. That local subsidy must be at least as large as the amount you request, and at least 30 "klip" — DKK 48,000. Regional venues and designated network or genre venues cannot apply. Sound engineers' pay is not covered, and you cannot combine this with the Koncertvirksomhed or Festivaler pools for the same concerts.
The scheme sets conditions that shape your programming: at least ten concerts a year spread over at least six months, open to the public, with tickets sold. Every musician on a supported concert must be paid at least DKK 3,200, and the subsidy only applies where a musician's fee is DKK 12,000 or less. Door deals count towards the fee; booking commission does not. For 2027 the committee contributes DKK 1,600 per musician, paid in two or three instalments, and at least 50% must come from the municipality.
Applying requires a Danish CVR number and MitID, through the Tilskudsportalen, in Danish. Four attachments: your musical profile and PR work with concrete goals, concerts held and planned for this year, agreed and hoped-for bookings for 2027, and a 2027 budget. The Music Committee judges artistic quality above all — a clear programming vision, courage in your choices, evidence you can deliver it, and real awareness of your audience. Decisions arrive around 1 December 2026.
