Arrangørtilskudd (Event Organiser Support)

This Music Norway scheme doesn't fund Norwegian artists directly; it helps Norwegian organisers bring international industry people to events in Norway, so those visitors discover Norwegian music first-hand. It covers two situations: hosting foreign media, press or industry professionals at a festival, conference or showcase, and running international songwriting camps where Norwegian and overseas writers and producers create material aimed at placements abroad.

Support is partial, not a full budget: up to half of an eligible international guest's travel and accommodation costs, plus up to 15% toward the organiser's admin costs. There's no fixed grant size; it scales with the guest list and the budget submitted in Norwegian kroner.

Applicants must be an organisation or company registered in Norway's Foretaksregister, not a private individual. Trade bodies, public institutions and music or education institutions that already receive significant public operating funding are excluded, as are companies not registered in Norway.

Applying is through an online portal, with a project description covering concrete plans, the list of international guests and their roles, and how the event builds networking, media coverage and new international work for Norwegian artists, plus an itemised budget showing self-financing and other grants received. An expert committee weighs the plan's concreteness, its goals, income potential, and the organiser's track record. Four deadlines run each year, on the first of March, June, September and December at 23:59. A final report, including accounts, is due within four months of the event; filing late blocks any future application.
