FFUK – Support schemes (Round 5 2026 deadline)

FFUK, the Norwegian fund for performing artists, runs six schemes that open five times a year; Round 5 of 2026 closes at 13:00 on 3 November. Between them they cover what a working musician actually spends money on: fees for concerts and tours in Norway and abroad, album recording, travel, further training, courses and seminars, and stage work including music theatre. The money is ring-fenced for performer fees. Sound and lighting technicians are not counted as performing artists, and the fund will not finance a project in full.

Eligibility turns on where you genuinely live and work rather than where you are registered. You need to be a professional performing artist based in Norway, with performing as your actual occupation; students still in education are generally not treated as professional, and you cannot claim fees for performers living abroad.

Applications go through FFUK's online portal, and everything must be in Norwegian — bokmal or nynorsk. Applications or attachments in English, Danish or Swedish are rejected outright. You submit a project description, an up-to-date CV for every performer whose fee you are claiming, and an itemised budget in kroner breaking fees down by performer, rate and number of concerts.

The fund wants firm plans, not provisional ones, and expects projects finished within a year of an award, two for recordings. Decisions land roughly six weeks after the deadline; for Round 5, on 9 December.
