City of Stockholm — Stöd till konstnärlig produktion och kulturarrangemang (large grants, Aug round)

Stockholm's culture administration funds artistic production and public cultural events across all art forms, music included — concerts, festivals, and the production work that leads to a public performance. This is the round for amounts above SEK 400,000, which opened on 3 August and closes on 21 August 2026 at 15:00, with decisions on 10 December. A separate autumn round for amounts up to SEK 400,000 runs from 24 August to 11 September.

You need to work professionally, and the activity has to take place in the municipality of Stockholm — a concert in Solna or Botkyrka does not qualify. Nothing can start before you receive the decision, because support is never given retroactively. The work must serve at least one stated purpose: exploring an artistic field (which rules out educational projects), developing artistic quality, opening up cultural heritage, having particular significance for Stockholm's arts scene, promoting collaboration, testing new methods or new ways of reaching audiences, strengthening international artistic exchange, or working with the languages and cultures of Sweden's national minorities.

Applications go through the administration's own portal. Above SEK 300,000 you need a detailed budget; above SEK 400,000 you must also describe, on a set form, how your organisation works against threats, abuse and sexual harassment. Two- and three-year support is possible, paid out a year at a time after review.

Assessment covers artistic quality, audience development and communication, and finances and resources, advised by a reference group of practitioners that includes working musicians. Everything is in Swedish.
