MENT Ljubljana 2027 — Showcase Open Call

MENT Ljubljana is a discovery festival and conference held in the Slovenian capital each winter, and this call is for its 13th edition, 17 to 20 February 2027. Selected acts play to an audience that mixes the public with international bookers, festival programmers, labels and press who come specifically to find new names.

It is open to artists, bands, solo performers, live acts and DJs from across Europe and beyond. Two practical requirements: you need live experience, and you need publicly accessible audio and video the programmers can actually listen to and watch. No genre, age or nationality limits are stated.

Every performing artist is paid a fee, though MENT says the amount depends on a range of factors and does not publish figures. Foreign artists also get accommodation, and all performers get basic backline and festival catering. Travel is not mentioned, so assume you are covering it unless told otherwise.

Applying is a form rather than a written proposal, hosted on Tally, with questions designed to show what your project is and whether it suits the festival. The organisers are direct about wanting fewer, better-considered applications: they ask you to look through past and current line-ups first and judge honestly whether your music belongs there. No assessment criteria are published beyond that question of fit. Everyone who applies is notified by email, mostly between September and December 2026 and by 18 December at the latest, so it is worth checking your spam folder.
