About this opportunity
TEMPI covers the international transport costs for Denmark-based artists working in roots, folk and related genres: travel from Denmark abroad, from abroad to Denmark, and local transport once you're there, for concerts, collaborations, networking, journalism, management trips and studio sessions connected to promoting Danish music internationally. It doesn't cover hotels, per diems, visas, COVID tests, album production, marketing or PR, and domestic travel within Denmark goes through a separate national scheme instead.
This is a reimbursement grant rather than a fixed sum — the payout depends on your actual, documented travel costs within whatever total gets approved, and 2025 awards ranged widely, from roughly 1,244 to 25,000 Danish kroner, so expect the amount to track your trip's scale rather than a flat figure. No co-financing requirement is stated. You'll need a Danish MitID, NemKonto and CPR or CVR number, and first-time applicants set up a profile before applying.
Apply online before the trip starts, entering your budget directly into the form; a project spanning separate periods needs one application per period rather than one for the whole run. A four-member committee reviews two to three weeks after the deadline and replies in writing within three to four weeks, weighing how well the trip promotes Danish music abroad, local demand such as paid fees or covered travel, artistic quality, and whether the plan makes efficient use of the money — a full tour scores better than a single concert. TEMPI has so far only published prior years' quarterly deadline pattern (February, May, August, November), so confirm the current date directly with the organiser rather than assuming it repeats.

Know who's reviewing — and what has won before.
For opportunities approaching their deadline, Pro members get a researched briefing: who sits on the jury, what they care about, and what past winning projects looked like. Briefings are prepared roughly 5 to 10 weeks before each deadline, while there's still time to shape your application.
