Art Music Denmark – International transport support (Tilskud til international transport)

Art Music Denmark's travel fund pays for the international transport tied to professional classical, contemporary and sound-art work: touring and concerts abroad, international collaborations, residencies, music journalism and management trips, and travel connected to recording sessions — though it's the travel it funds, not the recording itself, accommodation or per diems. Domestic transport inside Denmark for Danish applicants goes through a separate national scheme instead.

You'll need a Danish CPR or CVR number and a NemKonto; you can be based outside Denmark and still qualify if you meet that, and someone without one, such as a visiting foreign artist, can be applied for by someone else. Publicly funded institutions and bodies that already receive operating support can't apply, and you can only seek this kind of transport support from one Danish national music organisation per project.

It's a reimbursement model with no stated cap: you're paid back for documented transport costs up to the approved amount, only after the project is finished and reported, and only for international travel receipts. There's no explicit co-financing requirement, but a realistic budget is expected, with touring fees that aren't undercut against what local musicians would normally charge.

Applications go through the Danish-language GrantOne system before the project starts — it can begin before the deadline as long as the application precedes it — and are judged on artistic quality, career value, real local demand and how efficiently the trip is planned, with full tours favoured over single concerts. The deadline for this round is 20 November 2026.
