“Guerra de Bandas” – Actual Festival 2027

A battle of the bands run by Festival Actual in Logrono, now in its thirteenth edition, and one of the better-paid band competitions in Spain. Ten acts are picked from the submitted dossiers and play live in Logrono between 2 and 4 January 2027 — 15 minutes each, 30 minutes for anyone who reaches the final on the 4th. The jury penalises acts that overrun or undershoot that slot, so rehearse to time. You need at least half an hour of your own material.

Open to bands and solo artists of any style building a career anywhere in Spain. Previous winners of the jury prize cannot enter again. Contact details must belong to an active member of the group, not a manager or relative, or finalists risk exclusion.

The jury prize is a paid booking worth EUR 2,500 on a main stage at Festival Actual 2028: EUR 500 on winning and EUR 2,000 after the concert, both paid against an invoice, so you need to be able to invoice as a company, association or self-employed. There is also an audience prize of EUR 300 voted in person during the shows. Groups travelling 120km or more get EUR 150 towards fuel plus a night's accommodation and meals covered. Finalists use the supplied PA, monitors and house drum kit and bring their own backline. Entrants waive performance royalties for the competition.

Applying is by email to the organisers with a dossier: biography, gig history, recordings to date and links to your streaming and social pages. Track record counts. Submissions run from 12 August to 31 October 2026. The rules and the entry form are in Spanish.
