Ibermúsicas – Emilia-Romagna Collaboration

A joint call from Ibermusicas and the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna, through ATER Fondazione and the Emilia-Romagna Music Commission, for binational exchange projects. The model is reciprocal: an Emilia-Romagna act hosts an Ibero-American act, then travels to be hosted in return. Concert programmes have to be designed together, with new work, live collaboration and blended repertoire expected rather than two separate sets.

Three projects are chosen, in principle one from popular, world and traditional music, one from classical and contemporary art music, and one from jazz and experimental - though that split is not guaranteed. On the Ibero-American side, musicians, ensembles and composers must be nationals or certified residents of Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru or Portugal; on the Italian side, resident or domiciled in Emilia-Romagna. The application must be filed by a legally constituted entity - an artist agency, production company, label, academic institution - not by the musicians directly, and must include signed invitation letters from the festivals or venues on both sides, with activities and dates.

Each selected project gets EUR 10,000, funded jointly by the two partners, covering travel (no business or first class), accommodation, food and fees. The activity has to happen during 2027, and a full report with receipts is due within 45 days of finishing.

The scoring is published: artistic impact and long-term sustainability 50%, professional track record 30%, standing of the host venues 10%, and 2.5% each for gender equality, ethnic-racial perspective, LGBTIQ+ inclusion and accessibility. Applications close 1 October 2026 at 23:59; results on 27 November 2026. Guidelines and forms are in Spanish and Italian.
