About this opportunity
Tranche 2026-3 is the third and final application window of the year for Sena's production fund. It runs from 25 June to 28 October 2026, closing at 12:00 noon Dutch time, and Sena's performer and producer delegates decide within three months of the window closing. One timing trap worth noting: your first raw recording sessions must not begin before the tranche deadline.
The money goes towards the cost of making a record you intend to release — pre-production, multitrack studio and instrument hire, mixing, mastering, album artwork, a liner-notes writer, pressing CD, vinyl or USB, preparing a release for digital distribution, and even catering and accommodation during the sessions.
You have to be a professional performer or producer, meaning at least 20 hours a week working in music, and registered with Sena; without a valid Sena number the application is automatically rejected. Performers may apply once every two calendar years, for a minimum of three tracks or a complete production. Producers may apply five times in two years, for five different acts. A rejected applicant gets one more attempt in the same calendar year.
Requests run from €1,000 to a maximum of €3,000 and can never cover more than half the production budget — the artist, management or other partners must match it. Awards exclude VAT. The conditions also refer to a loan portion that must be repaid before you can apply again, without spelling out the split. Applying is done in Dutch, with a budget and funding plan attached as a single PDF.
