About this opportunity
Tampere has set aside EUR 15,000 to bring more live culture into the Culture District, the stretch of the city's western centre it is trying to make more inviting. If you are putting on a concert, a street performance or any other publicly accessible cultural event in that area, you can apply for up to EUR 3,000 towards it.
Applications are open to associations, non-profit organisations, working groups, independent producers and individual artists. The activity has to be non-profit — the city will not fund business operations or anything that reads as sales promotion — and it must take place in the western city centre between 1 May and 31 October 2026. You also need to bring your own money to the project, though volunteer hours count towards that share.
There is no single closing date inside the window. Applications run continuously from 1 April to 30 September 2026 and are considered at monthly meetings, so submit at least fourteen days before your event and ideally two months ahead. One detail worth catching: write "Culture District" in the "Other relevant information" field, or your application will be read against the general grants budget instead.
The grant is paid after the event has happened, against a financial and activity report due within two months. The city publishes no scoring criteria for this appropriation beyond its general principles for grants.
