About this opportunity
If your next step means going somewhere — playing a show in Reykjavík, working with a collaborator in Tallinn, sitting in on a workshop in Oslo — this covers getting there and staying. It funds travel and accommodation for trips of up to 14 days between the Nordic and Baltic countries: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden and Åland.
You apply as an individual, not as a band or a company. If four of you are travelling together on the same project, each person files a separate application. You need to be resident in one of those countries (citizenship is not required) and able to show documented professional experience or training in your field. Trips within a single country, trips to or from outside the region, and travel tied to your formal studies are all excluded, as are students.
The amount is not negotiated. The application system calculates a fixed travel cost plus a fixed daily allowance from your destination and dates, so everyone with the same itinerary receives the same sum. Production costs are not covered. You can plan a flight-free route or several linked destinations, and a supplement exists if a disability means you need personal assistance.
You must attach an invitation or letter of intent from your host, in English, naming who is invited and by whom; a portfolio is optional. Assessors weigh the quality of your work, your motivation, and how genuinely the trip builds Nordic–Baltic contact. Travel can start no earlier than eight weeks after the deadline, and decisions take roughly that long too.
