Music Norway — Møtevirksomhet (travel support for industry meetings)

This Music Norway scheme pays part of the cost of flying out to meet the people who can move an international career forward — a label, a booking agent, a sync company, a festival programmer — or of attending an industry gathering abroad where those conversations happen. It covers up to half of travel, accommodation and event participation fees, in individual grants of between NOK 5,000 and 20,000 drawn from an annual pot of NOK 800,000. It's open to performers, composers, songwriters and lyricists, and to the Norwegian companies that represent them under contract, provided the applicant is a Norwegian resident or citizen registered in the country's business register, with a real international opportunity in hand and a growth strategy behind it. It won't fund internal company meetings, courses, recording or production work, performance fees or per diems, and from 2026 a person can only be funded twice for the same venue inside four years. There are twelve deadlines a year, on the 15th of every month at 14:00, with a decision in two to four weeks. Applying means logging into Music Norway's portal with a project description, who you're meeting and when, a budget in Norwegian kroner, and a PDF of meeting confirmations. A panel judges each application on the strength of the plan, the partners involved, demonstrated international demand, and the realistic chance of new income.
