About this opportunity

A standing Danish transport subsidy for professional orchestras across all genres, administered by JazzDanmark on behalf of all genre organisations in agreement with the Danish Arts Foundation, and funded from the Ministry of Culture Music Action Plan at DKK 4.5 million a year. Unusually, it is not competitive: JazzDanmark states that if your orchestra meets the requirements and you apply within the deadlines, you are guaranteed a subsidy, which sets it apart from the Jazz Fund and the International Transport Fund where committees must prioritise between applications. THE DEADLINE DEPENDS ON YOUR CONCERT DATE, not on a fixed annual date: you apply in the month after you perform, and the application window runs from the 1st to the 15th of that following month. For example, a concert in February must be applied for between 1 and 15 March. There is therefore a window every single month, and the scheme is open continuously rather than closing once a year. Rates and the full requirements are published on the Danish-language application site, and JazzDanmark advises checking regularly because deadlines, guidelines and other details can change. Domestic Danish transport only: international travel goes to TEMPI or the relevant genre organisation instead.
