About this opportunity
This funds two years of deliberate career-building rather than a single project. You design the programme yourself — mentoring, masterclasses, coaching, artistic sparring, whatever your plan calls for — around a written career plan and in partnership with a professional consultant you find and recruit on your own. The consultant commits to seeing you through the full two years, and both their fee and your own must appear in the budget; the panel checks that the amounts are reasonable. Running and production costs, including equipment, are only funded to a limited extent.
It is open to emerging artists across architecture, visual art, film, craft and design, literature, music, performing arts and the spaces between them, as individuals or as groups. There is no age limit: what counts is whether you are at the point in your development where this kind of support makes sense.
There is no fixed award. You budget for what your plan needs, and the committee may award less than requested. Grants of 100,000 kroner or less are paid near your start date; larger ones spanning more than six months are paid in instalments, and everything is reported to the Danish tax authority.
You apply through the Tilskudsportalen using MitID, in Danish, with five mandatory attachments: a career plan of no more than three pages on a set template, a budget, written confirmation from your consultant, CVs for both of you, and work samples. Missing attachments mean your application is not assessed. Assessors weigh artistic quality and originality, whether the career plan is realistic, the consultant's suitability, and evidence that you have already made a mark nationally or internationally. Answers come within twelve weeks.
