About this opportunity
This Koda Kultur fund pays for getting new music heard rather than for making it. Think content production around a release, advertising, radio and playlist plugging, or promotional work supporting a tour. It will not cover producing or releasing the music itself — vinyl pressing, for instance — and it does not fund your own concerts, though promotion around touring is eligible. Unorthodox marketing ideas are welcome as long as you can explain how the initiative connects your music to the right audience.
You need to be a Koda member — artist, songwriter, producer, composer or lyricist — and the fund is aimed at the professional, market-oriented end of the field.
Awards are usually between DKK 5,000 and DKK 20,000. Approval comes first and money follows once you supply documentation such as receipts, agreements or invoices, so treat it as reimbursement rather than cash up front; allowances are not covered. No match funding is mentioned. You cannot be funded twice for the same project phase across Koda Kultur schemes, though a release funded elsewhere can still have its marketing funded here.
The form asks for a project description of up to 1,500 characters, a marketing plan, a budget and a schedule, your artist name and label or distributor, and social links if relevant, plus a CV or short bio as a PDF and up to three MP3s. The 2026 rounds close in January, April and September, and applications only open three weeks before each deadline. The DPA Market committee assesses them, and replies take roughly two months.
