Statens Kunstfond – Internationale besøgsprogrammer og netværksaktiviteter (musik)

This pool pays for the connective work around music rather than for touring itself: bringing international programmers, curators and other music professionals to Denmark to see the scene up close, and supporting residencies, co-writing, compositional work, working stays and production collaborations that build lasting links between Danish and international musicians.

Applicants are people and organisations running international activity where music is the central element. If the project is a collaboration with a partner abroad, the Danish side has to be the one applying. Concert tours are explicitly out of scope — they belong to the genre organisations' transport pools or to Musikerpuljen — as are courses and education for individuals, and anything that has already started before the deadline.

No maximum is published. The Foundation publishes past awards so you can gauge the range, and says openly that it may award less than you ask for.

Applications go through the Tilskudsportalen using MitID, and you have to decide up front whether you are applying as a person or as an organisation, since it changes how the case is handled. You write a project description of up to 3,000 characters, then attach a fuller description and a budget on the Foundation's own templates, documentation of agreements and invitations, and optionally a music sample.

The music committee assesses artistic quality first — it asks for courage in artistic choices and for relevance — then whether you can realistically deliver, and whether you have thought about who the work is for. The portal and guidelines are in Danish. Answers arrive within twelve weeks.
